Jesse Robertson wins again!
Jesse Robertson battled both the weather and all of his hydroplane
competitors in order to win the Dean Chenoweth Memorial.

Jesse had another perfect day as he won all of his heats. In the final
he held off both high winds and his father's '95 PICO American Dream
to win by about one buoy length. Closing quickly was David Brandt
in his '78 Squire Shop who finished third.

John Gatjens had his best finish of the year as his Tempest ended up fifth.

After a practice day of severe winds race day proved to be perfect with a
sunny smooth day. That is, until the last round of preliminaries when the
winds kicked up. Fortunately they were not nearly as severe as they had been
on Saturday, but they still made the rest of the day a matter of survival as
much as speed.
