Jesse Robertson wins his 10th!
This race was not a walk in the park for Jesse Robertson. In his first two heats, his boat did not finish either race. This was quite surprising for onlookers, since Jesse rarely doesn't finish first, let alone not finish a race. Jesse made enough points in his next two heats in order to make it into the First Consolation race. Jesse took First place in the First Consolation race. From there, he was able to move up into the Final. In the Final, Jesse outdrove the competition with his '89 Circus Circus, to take home the Diamond Cup trophy. With this win, Jesse also picked up the Triple Crown trophy.
The Diamond was held at Spokane, where we used 'Hot Pits'. Usually, this is a problem for racers, since it is not our normal racing routine. There is usually a racer who misses a heat, or is not ready for one reason or another, but I believe this weekends race went off without a hitch.
