Lee Robertson with his '95 PICO American Dream, made an incredible charge from 7th place at the start, to finish 2nd at the finish. With the way Lee was catching up with the Circus Circus, it looked like he would have taken First place if there had been a couple more laps.

Saturday's Gold Cup Time Trial points were added to the points earned after Sunday's Bill Muncey Memorial race, to determine the Total Points earned per driver for the entire race weekend. The driver with the most Total Points earned, would become the Gold Cup Champion.

As usual, it was very windy at this Ellensburg site. Many boats blew over, thus causing some lower than usual point scores.
