- Lee rolled his boat at the north corner in a swell
just as the race was starting. Then Harry and Dave followed suit
in the same corner as they were about to finish their first lap.
This left just 4 boats to finish the heat.

- This day had a few boats landing on the shore. On
a previous testing day, Roger Newton's Miss Budweiser ended up
on the shore effectivly taking it out of competition for the
weekend. Then at Sundays race, the Miss Tri-Cities came up on
shore about 20 feet, just missing a club member after rounding
the north corner. Then in a consolation race the American Speady
Printing lost control failing to turn at the south corner, and
ended up at the south beach. Let this be a reminder that when
at the races we all need to stay alert of the action, and to
keep plenty of distance away from the shore.
