Sat., Oct 4: Testing 8:00a.m. - 1:30p.m. Drivers Meeting: 1:45p.m. Racing: 2:00p.m (Two Heats - 3 Laps)
*Note: No additional testing Saturday afternoon after heats are completed.
Sun., Oct 5: Testing 9:30a.m.-10:30a.m. Racing: 10:45a.m. (Four flights - 5 Laps)... Connies and Final to follow.
Race format:
2 sections of 3 Lap Heats, 4 sections of 5 Lap Heats (2 sections Saturday, 4 on Sunday).
Top 6 boats in Total Points make the Final Heat.
Next 5 boats make 1st Connie.
Next 6 boats make 2nd Connie, Winner of 2nd Connie moves up to 1st Connie.
Winner of 1st Connie becomes 7th boat (trailer) in Final
Winner of Final wins Gold Cup; Most Total Points for the event wins Norm Evans Memorial.

The "Get Chet" Tour
One of our rookie drivers, Marc Connelly, (driver of the '69 Notre Dame - Background) dared to challenge our veteran, Chet "the jet" Lepinski, (driver of the '79 Miss Tri-Cities - Foreground) to a season long challenge culminating in a "battle royal - winner_takes_all" heat race at the end of the season. That heat was raced today, at the Gold Cup. Well... all we can say is that a picture speaks a thousand words... Doesn't it, Marc?
