Don Mock - Don Mock, from Seattle, is a well known jazz guitarist and video producer, and has been racing with R/C Unlimiteds since 1986. Don is currently [2003] the club’s Contest Board Chairman and is also the APBA Scale Hydro Chairman.
Don Mock - Don Mock, from Seattle, is a well known jazz guitarist and video producer, and has been racing with R/C Unlimiteds since 1986. Don is currently [2003] the club’s Contest Board Chairman and is also the APBA Scale Hydro Chairman.
Don’s first career win came in 1990 and has since become the club’s 2nd winningest driver with 30 race victories. He was R/CU’s 1993, 2000 and 2001 High Point Champion Driver while his various Atlas Van Lines hulls have grabbed the Boat High Point Championship a club record 6 times. A two-time Gold Cup winner, Don has also taken home R/CU’s Triple Crown Trophy five times. Mock has produced three popular videos on the sport of 1/8 scale hydro racing.(see ad in the "For Sale" section of this site.) In 2001, Don became the Crew Chief for the newly restored "full-size" 1982 Atlas Van Lines and heads up video production for the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum in Seattle.
