Dudley Powell - Affectionately known as the "Chief" because of his Indian heritage, Dudley first came into the club right after it was formed with a model of the Karelsen Redman. After wrecking it quite badly in a test session at the brown bowl he swore never to build another wood hull. Having had some experience with fiberglass he set about building a set of molds for the Redman. He drove for a few more years and then turned the driving chores to his wife Diane. But in the meantime Dudley continued to build more and different glass hulls. Quite a few members in RCU wouldn't have gotten to race if it wasn't for Dudley building them a glass hull. Today these same molds are being used by Troy McIntire.
