Les Ruggles - Les was a fan of the Unlimiteds all of his life. Roger first met Les back in 1956 when Les was towing a model of the Slo-mo-shun IV behind his bike. Having lost track of Les after his family moved to Spokane he finally resurfaced about the time RCU was formed back in 1976. He still had a passion for the hydros. His first venture into r/c was a model of the 1959 MAVERICK.
He was always a good competitor and a great help to anyone that needed it. He had 16 race victories which included 2 Gold Cups and 1 season High Point Championship. In addition to racing, Les also supplied drawings not only to racers in RCU but around the country as well.
Les was an excellent driver and a tough competitor at every race he attended.
Les won 16 Races, 1 Driver High Point Championship, and 2 Gold Cups.
