Matt Devine - Although he never raced a boat in RCU, Matt was very instrumental in getting RCU started. He took the existing rule book for the full size unlimiteds and adapted it to fit our specific needs. Matt had arrived in Seattle from Detroit a few years earlier after taking a job offer from Boeing. He worked on the Hydrofoil for the Navy. Matt built a model of the Miss Schweppes, but for one reason or other it never hit the water. He still lives in Renton with wife Karen and has over 30 years with the Boeing Co.
