Ron Erickson - Ron was involved in model boating all of his life. He got his start by racing tether boats in the '50's. He was one of the first to run an RC boat in the northwest. Ron was a tough competitor and raised the standards of everyone in the club. Ron made running hardware for the hydros that was used by most everyone in the club. His knowledge of props was excellent. At one time in the late '70's Ron held the straightaway record of over 77 MPH with his model of the Spirit of Dayton Walther. In addition to his 11 race wins he also captured 3 Gold Cups and 2 Season High Point awards.
Ron has won 11 Races, 2 Driver High Point Championships and 3 Gold Cups.
