Second in Rookie of the Year honors for 1996, Dave Brandt, won his first race at the 1997 Dean Chenoweth Memorial, in Tacoma, Washington. Dave had a very successful 1997 season and finished second in the season point standings. He came in fourth place in the 1998 standings. Dave won the Oregon Thunderboat Regatta on August 16 1999. |
