The Simon Kidgits Club is something that Simon Malls have for kids. Kids not only have fun being members, they also learn important lessons about safety, health and wellness, and more. So when Water Follies board member Sue Levinskas called R/CU  member Chester Lepinski about doing something with the kids, he was all for it.

On July 2^nd from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM , R/CU members Troy McIntire, Earl Schenck, Steve DeSteese and Chet Lepinski were at the Columbia Center Mall in Kennewick , WA . They had three tables to display the six 1/8 scale r/c hydroplanes for people to look at.  They also handed out “Hydro Classics Coloring books” that were donated by Roger Newton and Oberto paper hats to the kids. Even some adults wanted the coloring books and hats.

The kids also got to get there faces painted and to do some dance classes while there. We were able to get our own R/CU cheerleaders to perform for the crowd. They are on the small size but so are our boats.

Also Todd Blackman President of the Water Follies was there to hand out information on the upcoming Columbia Cup. Sue tried to get Chet to do the hula hoops with her and that was laugh.

All in all the kids had fun and so did the R/CU members.
